coach andrea
Founder and Head Coach Andrea has been working with youth since 2000, with a background in Early Childhood Education, Sport Management, and Business from the University of Texas at Austin.
A native Austinite and daughter of two AISD educators, Andrea blends structured curriculum, nurturing coaching, and progressive skill development to create enrichment programs trusted by daycares, preschools, and early learning centers across Austin, Texas.
Before launching Play Sports, she worked in professional and collegiate athletics, including roles connected to the Austin FC, Austin Spurs, and university athletics, and later supported student-athletes with academic tutoring at UT. Today, she brings that same discipline, organization, and encouragement to early childhood enrichment.
Coach Andrea is also a substitute teacher at UT Elementary and an early childhood development specialist, known for her warm, confidence-building coaching style and structured, age-appropriate curriculum.
